The economic utilization of marine areas is increasing rapidly. Innovative technologies are opening up new opportunities and unlocking enormous resources. Our motivation is to promote this development in harmony with the highly sensitive marine environment. Protecting and securing the marine environment is a particular challenge that must be met not only with new technologies. In particular, we see our contribution to a clean and safe future in the utilization of the enormous variety of information and volumes of data for faster construction, better management and protection of fixed installations. Exploring the oceans is a labor-intensive, expensive and time-consuming undertaking. The harsh environmental conditions can seriously jeopardize schedules and budgets. In the future, the use of uncrewed systems will increasingly support and in some cases replace vessel-based resources. The combination of different co-operating surface and subsea systems and sensors will enable us to enter new dimensions, save personnel, time and energy and at the same time gain information. We support these developments through targeted testing under real operating conditions and our own developments. Collapse

Environmental Data

The basis of all technological developments is a good knowledge of environmental parameters. The collection and analysis of environmental data is essential as a basis for the sustainable protection and minimization of our impact. The basis of all technological developments is a good knowledge of environmental parameters. The collection and analysis of environmental data is essential as a basis for the sustainable protection and minimization of our impact. The diversity of technical utilization requires, but also enables, new methods of data collection and analysis. In particular physical parameters are already easy to record and predict, while chemical and especially biological parameters are difficult to record automatically. Against the background of endangered biodiversity and invasive species, the recording of biological parameters is becoming increasingly important. The use of autonomous and automated systems and artificial intelligence is part of the solution to this challenge. Collapse

Underwater Munitions

A huge amount of old munitions is dumped in the oceans. Sooner or later, these ticking time bombs will pose a huge threat to our marine environment. But they already pose a risk to people today. Expand

A huge amount of old munitions is dumped in the oceans. Sooner or later, these ticking time bombs will pose a huge threat to our marine environment. But they already pose a risk to people today. The construction of offshore infrastructure and the food industry already pose potential risks that need to be assessed and combated. This begins with risk assessments and the search for objects on the seabed and does not end with identification and salvage. Newly developed sensor systems and methods need to be tested and evaluated. Collapse
